Seneca 2012
#1
SENECA

Coach: Brad Fraser (first year).

Last season: 17-12, lost to Jeffersontown 73-59 in Seventh Region semifinals.

Player to watch: Senior combo guard Devin White saw limited varsity action last season but has the potential to become Seneca’s go-to player. “He’s a pretty good one-on-one scorer and has improved a lot,” Fraser said. “He’ll have to shoulder a lot of the load for us.”

Other top players: F Jarret Morgan (6-3, Sr.); F DeShan Rushin (6-1, So.); F William Maddox (5-11, So.); G Justin Gordon (5-8, Sr.); G Chance Moore (5-10, So.); G/F Darion Porter (6-2, Jr.); C Chris O’Keefe (6-6, Sr.); C Victor Hoffman (6-5, So.).

Outlook: Fraser replaces Matt Lemon as coach after posting a 6-18 record at Crittenden County last season. He also has coached at Christian County, Marion County and Fleming County and in North Carolina and Tennessee. He inherits a program that lost nine seniors, including all five starters. “If we do have a strength, it’s that we’re pretty quick,” he said. “We know we’re not going to beat anybody offensively, but I think we can be a decent defensive team if we stay with it.”
