if thats the top 10 then there are 15 teams that can win the region. if this was an actual poll, the difference between number one and number 15 would be around 6 votes IMO.

Pike Central- Solid ball club this year with alot of talent within their starting 5 and a strong bench.
Belfry- Once again has a very nice team. Consistantly turns out great athletic programs. Lost to East Ridge on their home floor but 15 and 6 on the season is right up there.
Paintsville- Been hyped up all year. Nice team with 15 wins. Also lost to East Ridge when ER doesn't have a strong team this year..
Johnson Central- Made alot of noise in their district.
Shelby Valley- Always a great team, beat ER at Valley by one to have the district tourney..
Prestonsburg- NICE team again.
South Floyd- Good team this year. They have a few players with great talent.
Betsy Layne- Haven't heard much from them or saw them play this year.
East Ridge- Cracked the Top 10, they have had a couple of quality wins this season but have nowhere close to the talent that they did 2002-2004/5. Need to work alot harder and decide who they are going to have in play all the time. Constantly changes game plan, starting five, and doesn't work with the talent they need to focus on. If they played every game like they did against Belfry, Paintsville, and even Valley the could pull out the W over Pikeville in the District Tourney.
Lawrence Co- Has a great player in Shawn Thompson who throws up some great stats but isn't consistant with the wins either.

the reason that i put those teams in and not Pikevillle is b/c they have a better record that pikeville....Phelps is 12-8(1-2) and East Ridge is 12-10(3-4)....both over .500adn Pikeville is 9-13(4-2)..yeah they have a better conference record but overall they are below .500

my problem with that list is #10 lawrence county. sheldon clark swept them in the regular season and they are going to finish ahead of them in the district. tha's kind of confusing to me why they are in a not SC.

I have watched Paintsville an Belfry about half and half, Paintsville does not have the team to beat Belfry...

I dont know how you could have a clear cut #1 in this region.But i have seen most of the teams play and i think that Pike Central has the strongest team although im not a fan of thiers.Brad Lowe is a good player.:Geek:
