Since no one else has ventured an opinion, which I was hoping to read, I'll give my take on the situation for 2011.

A very tough schedule for a team that lost 17 seniors to graduation, they were beaten up pretty good by an extremely physical team, Rockcastle, the first game, and it seemed that everything went down hill from there.

However, their biggest problem, IMO, is the offensive line, for they are inexperienced and most certainly not getting the job done. The backs, many times, do not have a chance to get out of the backfield.

Moreover, it seems that they keep making the same mistakes over and over.
In my wildest dreams I would never have thought at this point in the season they would be 1 - 8. And they are going to face a strong Hazard team Oct 28; they do, however, have an additional week to prepare, since they have an open week.

If I were the coach, and obviously I'm not, just a person in the stands with an opinion, I would focus on fundamentals, blocking and tackling. In the overwhelming loss to PCC this past Friday, I witnessed some very poor "attempts" to tackle. One does not bring down a strong man by jumping on his back and trying to ride him down. I did see a couple guys doing it correctly, especially #10. He made some nice hits.

Again, just an opinion, but I would spend the next two weeks teaching and practicing fundamentals.

Watching this season unfold has been sad to watch from an outsiders perspective. I think the expectations really hurt the Cardinals.
