Kentucky/Ohio LLWS

Looking like the North Oldham team will advance to the World Series if they continue beating Hamilton OH. But I have to comment on the home plate umpire. I rarely say anything negative about officials, but this guy has the worst strikezone for an umpire than I have ever witnessed. This is criminal to screw both teams with this guys complete lack of ability, just horrible!

And does anyone know the field in Indiana that this is being played? How can they use a field that is in that ridiculous condition for a tournament of such high profile?

Ky won 3-0

My Priorities are:
1)God
2)Family
3)Cougar Athletics!

Everything else doesn't matter!

It was nice to see Ky advance, but I'm not sure how well they can do against some of the other teams I have seen so far

If you watch little league games, you will see that this is the norm for home plate ump. The do not want to see alot of walks and want the kids to go up to the plate swinging. I am not saying I like this, but it has been umped this way consistently.

^ I get that, and I support expanding the strikezone, but this guy was calling unhittable pitches strikes. Players from both teams lost composure and complained both verbally and emotionally, which is so uncharacteristic of LL. This guy was truly that bad that be affected the hitters ability to have any impact on the game.

When you get to this level of play, a strike zone should not be expanded. If you can't throw strikes, take your place on the bench.
