John Hardin vs LexCath
#1
This is the night capper of LC's Bluegrass Bowl.
I think this will be a very good game. I'll pick LexCath 38-35

as a recent visitor to catholic ill take lex cath by 3. havent seen there varsity but my grandson played agaist there freshman and jv monday. jv game wasnt close but bourbon freshman played them to 22-12 final despite falling behind 14-0 early. fr qb was very good. they also had a kid that had to be 6 foot 7 and was way to fast and way to cordinated to be a freshman playing on the fr team. while im not sure the big kid was a freshman knights look to be loaded. hard for public schools to match up

I can assure you that the 6'6" WR and the 6'2" QB were both freshmen even tho they also both played their positions in the JV game that followed . Bourbon Co. seemed to have some pretty good players on their freshmen and JV teams. I'm positive our JV teams were closer in talent than the score indicated. (Lex Cath 57 Bourbon Co. 14)

John Hardin may very well be the best 5A school in the state. Having 26 seniors on their roster this year sure doesn't make them any easier to play. Seeing how Lexington Catholic plays Bowling Green later on this year we just might find out for ourselves before the playoffs start who the better team is. Of course Lex Cath would of already played Bell Co., Lafayette, Louisville Male, John Hardin and Boyle Co. before we meet Bowling Green to finish off the regular season.

Im not saying Lex Cath has the toughest schedule in the state but I would love to hear from anyone who can show me an absolute tougher one.

This may be the best team JH has ever fielded (51-5 in the last 5 years). These kids have actually played each other as middle schoolers. (Bluegrass Middle v. LC with BGMS coming out on top). I believe both teams will be explosive on offense but JH defense may have the edge (speed).

JH - 42
LC - 28

Just my opinion.

I can assure you that the tall skinny 6'6 receiver and the QB for LexCath are freshman and JV team are freshman. They are co-ordinated that way cause both also played AAU and middle school basketball.

First let me assure you the tall receiver is a freshman. He's my kid. Second he's no where close to 6-7. He's a little over 6-5 barefoot. Last the fr and jv games with bourbon co were won on the o and d lines. The qb rb's and wr's had time and lanes because of great ol play, and the dl and lb's controlled the line of scrimmage.
