Highlands, the defending 5A state champion, is the preseason favorite. The Bluebirds return several key players including senior QB Patrick Towles (Kentucky commit), who threw for 2,471 yards and 21 touchdowns and rushed for 880 yards and 18 touchdowns last season.
Highlands opens the season at Boyle County on Aug. 19.

I can remember not to long ago Ryle been a doormat in NKY. It good to see them up there with the big dawgs.
