Chicago Bears reporter Zach Zaidman tweets that Marion Barber has signed with the Chicago Bears. ESPNâs John Clayton has also confirmed the deal.
This is an interest move because we havenât heard much about the Bears targeting running backs but addition of Barber will give them a better goal line presence.

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Chicago Bears have signed DT Amobi Okoye to a one-year deal following the Houston Texans decision to release.
Overall this is a good pickup for the Bears as they could use some help with their interior defensive line. Rumors had the Bears as possibilities for Brandon Mebane and Barry Cofield but wound up missing out on both of them.
The Texans wound up releasing him because they didnât see him fitting into their defensive scheme and we because no one was willing to trade for him.
The move is very low risk and thereâs a chance that Okoye could end up being a huge asset to their defense.

Agreed. Bears like tough, hard-nosed playing. And well Barber likes to run that way.
