Pirates 1 Reds 0

Raise the Jolly Roger! The Bucs have three shutouts in the five games since the All Star break. Thats eight shutouts on the year, two in a row and three this season against the Redlegs! The Buccos move to 51-44, and a game ahead of Milwaukee. Cincy falls to 47-50 and 5 games out. Beat 'em Bucs!

This year's Pirates are last year's Reds. I do believe the Pirates will be playing in October

^Hush your mouth! Reds are still in it!

^ They better be getting the ball rolling. I know there's still half a season to play but it's the most important.

Ah.The pirates are improving and getting their form back.Let's see how they do the rest of the season.

I still don't believe the Pirates will win the division. Still too many holes in the lineup to win consistently against the better teams in the league. I fully expect the bottom to drop out for the Pirates at some point in the next few weeks.

But unfortunately, I don't think that will benefit the Reds any. This team just looks dead in the water right now. I know Pittsburgh's pitching is greatly improved this year, but c'mon! Shut-out two games in a row by Charlie Morton, James McDonald and friends?? Seriously??

Cincy just doesn't have it this year. They have to be like 0 for their last 500 with runners in scoring position. Just pathetic.
