Mike Mendenhall III named new Lafayette coach
#1
Mike Mendenhall III is the new head coach of the Lafayette boys’ program. He has been assistant on Lexington Catholic’s current staff for the last 6 years, preceded by 3 at Lafayette, and 2 with the old staff at Catholic. He already teaches at Lafayette, and is well-qualified for the job. His father (MM II) is still an assistant at Catholic.

Lafayette has a good core of players and perhaps this will give them a boost back from the adversity of last season.

I'm an old school guy who remembers when Lafayette was a team to be really feared year in and year out, and had a family member play for them before transferring to Dunbar when it opened. Here's hoping they get back to sustained success.
