The Lady Cougars won their sixth straight regional title tonight defeating Powell County in the finals 2-0. It makes the eleventh straight time that a Letcher County school has captured the regional crown.

Even though we lost to them back in September, this team is much better, and much more hungry for a state tournament win.

Lisa Frazier was also voted player of the year in the 14th region by the coaches association and will receive her award during the state tournament in Louisville.

Just to add to that. Ari Nichols, Emi Nichols and Julie Cornett made the 14th Region All-Tournament Team. This doesn't bold well for the rest of the region as all three are Sophomores.

That is great to hear that the future of Cougar Volleyball is going to be OK. Coach Adams will have a great team next year for sure. I really don't see how the man does it with basketball and volleyball. Great to see our feeder program is doing well. Any pep rally's for the volleyball team before they go to state?

Coach Adams does a great job with the girls.The school should be very proud.
