Eastern looked like a really good team, although you could tell that Christian Co was without some key players.

IMO, the Tolsia/SC game was much closer than the score shows. SC wore Tolsia down at the end of the game with subs and Tolsia just ran out of gas at the end.

Huntington Prep is the real deal. They'd beat any team around here, past or present, with ease by 20+ or more. Makes it much more clear why stand outs like Mayo and others go to the schools like this, Oak Hill Academy, etc...

Lady Cards looked okay, as usual Booth held them together to pull at a win late in the game.

Logan, WV team looked really good IMO, a lot of good players. Behanan was less than impressive in this showing. Never really showed he had any kind of shot. Most of his 25 were from put backs from rebounds. He had a couple of good dunks, but again never really showed he had any sort of shot beyond the low block.

Mayo nor Patterson attended Huntington Prep.

You have that school mixed up with Huntington High.

Also, here are some interesting facts about Huntington Prep. HP isn't really even a school. They get to recruit kids from all-around the world and play against other prep schools across the country, as they're not sanctioned to play against actual high school basketball teams, just other prep schools. The HP players travel all winter and have their academics provided by St. Joseph Central Catholic out of Huntington.

Oh no, I am well aware that Mayo and Patterson didn't play at Prep... Like you said, these kids are recruited to play for an ELITE team they call Huntington Prep and are actually St. Joe students by day. This team plays schools like Oak Hill and other academy's, not regular High Schools.

My point was, after watching them it makes sense why stand outs (mayo was a bad example) end up going to schools like this to be more competitive. These kids aren't your average high school player we see around here... our BEST standout couldn't touch any of these kids IMO.

Someone said at the game yesterday that UK was looking at Negus Webster-Chan, but I don't see anywhere was this has been confirmed. He was something else to watch.
