I don't have an issue with the Field advantage. what I do have an issue with is possibly playing a 9:30 am in the Semi finals. Our kids will have to get up at 5 in the morning and take a 2 1/2 bus drive. not hardly worth the drive to me.

The first year my son played in the state semi finals we left at 5 am to play at 9 am....and then turned around same day and played the finals - we left at midnight and returned at 2am....Yes, the drives are not fun, and the amount of time the KYMSFA puts into the playoffs and state games is daunting, but a) it made my son a better player and b) got us to interact with many schools he may never play in High School.

Let me ask my son if it was worth it....Oh yeah...the state champ ring on his hand...it was worth it....and the loss they walked away with last year in the quarterfinals was also worth every minute...

Finally, the experience he had at ALL Stars another AMAZING event put on by KYMSFA was a weekend of memories.

Is their politics involved? Does it matter? for a program that is in it's third year. They have done an amazing job, dealing with coaches, players, school faculty, volunteers, parents, etc and they should get a big thumbs up for what they are trying to achieve...I can't wait to see the program mature...in 5 -10 years it will be phenomenal!
