NewCath running back Chris Kelly carried 22 times for 158 yards and scored two touchdowns, and running back Jake Cain added eight carries for 101 yards and a touchdown in the 'Breds' victory.

Thoroughbreds quarterback Brady Hightchew carried 10 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and completed his one pass attempt for two yards.

NewCath rolled up 370 yards on the ground.

Holy Cross quarterback Jerry Arlinghaus completed 17 of 39 passes for 223 yards, but was intercepted three times. Chad Fuller carried 15 times for 112 yards for the Indians.

Newcath was the better team last night and both teams missed on some opportunities, but HC had some big chances get away on mistakes. Holy Cross made it into the redzone 3 or 4 times without scoring

Holy Cross has a very good offense that is capable of taking them far in the playoffs, Newcath is just all around fundamentally good. both teams will be dangerous for the other district
