Ryan Brown enrolls Pikeville College to play football
#1
He has transferred from James Madison to Pikeville College. Big, strong, and fast. Offensive line or better yet, defensive line. He will help Pikeville a lot. He's that good.
#2
never heard of him

Ryan brown played at Paintsville. If you're from South Floyd, you ought to remember him, cause he tormented you all for 4 years.

I don't think he got a lot of playing time at JMU!~
#5
How many years will he have left to play?

There is no way you can be serious unless you are a young student at SF who wouldn't remember him, or an alumni he graduated before his time. Ask ANY team or coach in district 8 about Ryan Brown, better yet, ask ANY team Paintsville played PERIOD about Ryan Brown. Ask any center and gaurds that tried to block him, the boy was a manchild in high school and still is to this day. Pikeville's D-line is gonna be awesome next year with the addition of Ryan.

It's GREAT news for us. With Ryan Brown, Marcus Crosby (returning starter), and Elbert Shumake (returning starter, all-conf, and all-american honarable mention) on the D-line, they are cause ALOT of havoc for opposing teams.

I remember him well. He was an absolute beast. I'd heard he'd been playing pretty well at James Madison too while he was with the team. He will be a great addition for PC....
#10
Will he have to set out next year or can you play when you step down in a division?

He won't have to sit out, it's ok if you change division, had he transferred to another D1 AA school he would have had to.

Here is some information on him!

He will be a nice addition to Pikeville's team

Will really help PC.

As a senior he was honorable mention all-state, which was a joke.

He beat out 3rd and 2nd team all-staters for Kentucky/Tennessee all star game. He played a great game in that all star game. So good that Rich Brokks asked Joker Phillips why the hell didn't he get Ryan Brown.

He's very strong.

He's very quick.

He's very fast.

You don't find too many lineman that are 6-3 and weigh 275 pounds and run a 4.7 or faster 40.

Ryan not getting All-State was a joke, especially after watching some of the players in this area make it the last couple years who couldn't even COMPARE to what Ryan Brown did.

Go back read the thread. He played at Paintsville and graduated in 2003.

Better yet, go watch him play at Pikeville College.

If Joker Phillips would have offered, he'd be starting at UK.

You, me, about 50 team mates, 5-6 coaches, and about 1500 fans or more.

Looks like the boy will be a great addition to an already uprising PC team. He looks like his has the size and strength and from the sounds of it, he will have the speed to help out on the D line. Can't wait to see what happens.
