Walton-Verona scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to tie the game and go into overtime. In overtime, Gallatin County got the ball and scored first. Walton came right back, scored and went for the win.

Senior fullback Andrew Baumgartner found the end zone for the conversion and the win.
Coach Jeff Barth’s decision was simple, “Give the ball to our best player on our best play,” said Barth.
Baumgartner finished with 84 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. Junior running back Nolan Brown had 12 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown.
