Cats GPA rises

In Phillips' first official semester as head coach, the football team's collective grade-point average rose from 2.35 in the fall to 2.66 in the spring.

"I'm very pleased," Phillips said. "We had over 40 guys with a 3.0. We still have a couple of guys that haven't bought in, but if they can do what they're supposed to do our GPA will be even higher."

Whenever Brad Durham graduated high school, I seem to remember him having OVER a 4.0. I am sure that he is doing just as well in college.

Anytime a coach gets his players to buy into the STUDENT and athlete part of their title, they are off to a successful start!
