The "conservative right" is no more hypocritical than any other group. Look at the super rich limousine liberals who set up family trusts and invest heavily in tax-free munis while they paradoxically advocate raising taxes on the rich. How often does the media correctly point out the hypocrisy of liberals like Kennedy, Kerry, Gore, and Pelosi? There are no bigger hypocrites on the planet - the liberal media just does not report on left wing hypocrisy.

Let's see what the reaction of the Californians Against Hate is if a few conservatives produce evidence that Kagan is a lesbian and might be biased on issues like gay marriage. Liberals have already criticized the WSJ for publishing a picture of Kagan playing softball - which, according to them was intended to suggest that she is a lesbian. What makes it okay for liberals to out gay men for political reasons but not okay for conservatives to do the same? It is wrong in both cases.

I think it is a different issue when the party involved makes his or her living trying to deny equal rights for any particular social group.
