How about those panthers last night taking down the big Red hounds. with the thanks of Justin King threw who threw 143 pitches 62 balls, 81 strikes, and 12 strike outs. Freshmen Travis Mills laid down a huge bunt in the 8th to bring in 2 runs and knox central went up hill from there.

Great game for KC. After playing so close with south wed. and beating corbin the next day they are really working toward their potential. If they keep playing like this they will be a hard team to beat. Corbin played a great game also. They will be a hard team to handle this season on into the post season. Goodluck to both.

I'm not sure if his pitch count is correct, but that is too many pitches to be throwing in a game that really does not mean a whole lot. A good win for KC, but they may need to save King's arm for the postseason.

Need to see early ratings:
1) Clay Co.
2) North Laurel
3) Harlan Co.
4) Middlesboro
This is not a surprise, Knox, Corbin, South Laurel are all average this year.

Any coach who would throw a kid 142 pitches at any point in the year should be fired on the spot. This is April 1, and nobody should be throwing over 70 in a game this early, and that is if the kid throws year round. That is why we have so many arm surgeries for young players. A win in April does nothing for you in the tourney. I understand rivalries but this is rediculous.
The parent also has a responsibility to step in and tell the coach to pull him at about 70 pitches this early in the season.
MY PREDICTION: This kid will have arm fatigue and will be mid May(if then) before his arm recovers. There are tons of literature out there about this subject and all Coaches should have to pass a test over it before he is allowed to suit up. Players must show there coach that they are competent before he plays them, make the Coach accountable as well.

Corbin is a very young team this year. They will be a contender post season. Just watch.

Mis-information is a killer. His total number of pitches came to 113-114. I agree a bit much this early in the season, but lets not jump to conclusions and be responsible when calling out parents, coaches and players when someone posts information on here that is not correct. The 113-114 is what came from the KC pitch count.

Corbin beat Clay. Harlan County lost to Lee County Va. who Knox beat 17-0. The region is up for grabs.
