Games they should win
Vanderbilt
Charleston Southern
Louisville
Western Kentucky
Akron
Mississippi State
Games that will be close
Georgia
South Carolina
Auburn
Games that will be tough to win
Florida
Tennessee
Ole Miss

I want to say I see seven wins for this team but something tells me that they will win at least one game that they are "not supposed to." There is a lot to be said for the energy and excitement that can come with a season under a new head coach, especially when the new head coach has been waiting in the wings for the last few seasons. I think that the staff Joker has assembled will have these guys prepared every single week and I like this team. They have Georgia and Auburn at home and they beat both of those teams on the road a year ago and to be honest I think Kentucky will improve more than either of those two teams. If they can find a way to win either or both of those games you are looking at an 8-9 win season for the Cats.

should have another good year...go cats

Cant wait to see it. I would love for the new look cats get 8 wins. That would be a fantastic start to Joker's tenure.

The stretch of games from Florida through Miss. St will be the key. They have to win a few of those games. If not, I just don't know where the wins will come from in order to make it to another bowl.

Akron, WKU, and Charleston Southern???? ROTFLAMAO!!!!!

Hey this is Kentucky football and yes we have to pad our schedule.
#10
I see 6 or 7 wins, but potential for 8 or 9.
#11
Looks good...I'd say we could possibly win 8, 9 is a stretch...we will shock either Florida or Tennessee...Id say it will be the Vols due to the by week UK has before we play them. I wish we played them like week 1 with the new coach and new system...

I would not brag about that if I were you. But, I guess it makes up for the fact that the best you can hope for in the SEC East is 2-3.
#13
I'd be happy with 7 wins.

Hey Westside, how are your boys in Huntington going to fair out??? I have a queasy feeling in my stomach that this might be the year that Marshall knocks off WVU. Doc knows Gomer's system inside out (whatever system that is).

7-8 wins go big blue

Is there roster complete, and when is spring practice?

Kentucky was a couple of yards away from finishing second in the SEC East a year ago so saying that the best they can do is 2 SEC wins is a stretch. They won 3 on the road a year ago. You can look at the games you mentioned out of conference into consideration and Kentucky's schedule is still very difficult because they play in the best conference in college football.

Does anyone know who is going to be on the cover of the Cats Pause magazine? I think it should be Joker!

I would not say that I am proud of that fact, but unless you compensate for being in the same conference and having almost built in losses every year, you will not be able to get more than maybe 2-3 wins. I think that scheduling the lower teams is a way to help the team build confidence and offset the fact that Florida and Tennessee is a L season after season.

If UK took football as serious as basketball, Brooks would have been run out of Lexington long before he was allowed to retire.

if the university cared as much then they would have better facilities to drag in more 4 and 5 star recruits, would have kept Bryant as coach and would be at the top 3 in the SEC.

Don't forget the 200 dollars we didn't pay so Pat Summit couldn't come either. Smile

I love UK football, but in no way will it ever be anything close to the circus that is UK basketball.
