Grizzlies and Jazz talking trade
#1
The Utah Jazz is apparently ready to ship guard/forward Ronnie Brewer to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

The two teams have supposedly been discussing what future first-round picks the Jazz would receive in the deal, though it's believed the Griz won't give up its first-round pick this year. It has two other first-round picks that it got in trades with the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers that are apparently available. If a trade for Brewer doesn't work out, Memphis may go after the Miami Heat's Dorell Wright.

Memphis is also apparently thinking about signing free-agent guard Von Wafer, who failed a physical in late December that kept the team from signing him. You had to kind of feel bad for Wafer at the time. He had signed with Euroleague club Olympiacos Piraeus back in August and then basically got himself waived in December. He really wanted to return tot he NBA but he apparently wasn't physically ready. He's been rehabbing his back in Louisiana and the word is that the Grizzlies may have a workout with him soon to see if he's ready to be signed.
