The following is taken from Wrestlezone.com:
World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Randal “Randy” Orton is facing a court hearing for allegedly spitting gum in the face of a juvenile and swearing at him outside Kowloon Restaurant.
On Jan. 12 a 15-year-old male walked in to the Saugus Police Department to report that Orton, 29, assaulted him in the Kowloon parking lot earlier in the day.
Police Lt. Leonard Campanello said the purported victim alleged that Orton, a third generation professional wrestler and former WWE World Heavyweight champion, reacted angrily to a request for a photo at the Route 1 restaurant around 6:30 p.m.
The teenager told police he took a photograph of Orton in the parking lot and then asked to pose with him for another shot.
But according to the victim, Orton, a 6-foot 4-inch, 245-pound wrestler famous for his RKO finishing move, spit his gum at him and called him a derogatory name.
Campanello said the teen's mother confronted Orton, who allegedly responded “so sue me” when she voiced her protest.
Now I don't see how spitting your gum at someone is considered assault and battery, but I certainly think Orton acted inappropriately.

When I first saw the title, I thought he was making him a legend. :lmao:
I shouldn't laugh but I am sure that the rest of his life wont be scarred over a piece of gum hitting him.

Lol, that's bad..
In these fan situations, you just never know what happens. This could be true, but in most instances is beligerent fans that are acting like idiots, and the athlete (entertaininer, etc...) finally blows their cool and does something stupid. Remember a couple of years ago the Chris Jericho incident with the Woman who plead her case that Jericho cursed her and wanted to start a physical alteration with her and her boyfriend. Go back and look at the youtube video, and you will see a completely different story than the one she was trying to portray.
The Fans want to be in on the gimick. They taunt, curse and become completely rude. These guys expect that, especially the heels. These guys have been stabbed, spit on, had excrement thrown at them, cars vandalized, etc... It takes a lot for them to finally snap, and then everyone wants to make it sound like the entertainer as the one who was the instigator. Watch and see, the police will drop this with no charges.

Here is a quote from Randy Orton on his side of the story:
"I walked out of Kowloon’s Friday night around 12:30-1 a.m. with Santino and a police officer escort. As I was being rudely hounded for pictures and autos (I had a 6:40 a.m. flight through Minni to Lincoln, then a drive to Omaha, a match, a drive back to Omaha, then a charter to Minni, and a driver to Rochester for the next show the next day, btw), I was confronted by an older women who said: ‘Hey Randy, you spit on my handicapped son a few years ago at a show, what do you have to say about that?’ My replay...`So Sue me.’
Then I proceeded to my car, with Santino and the cop and drove back to our hotel by the Boston airport. I know I have been a bit of a hothead in the past, but I DID NOT spit gum and call names to any child. The women is claiming I called her son a `retard’ 3 times, and spit gum in his face. Come on people, even at my worst temperament, I would never call a handicapped child something awful like that. I’ll actually sign anything for any child with any disability. I heard just today from WWE attorneys that this women filed assault charges against me 4 days later?
Hmmm, oh, and what about the dozens of cops at the restaurant that were there for crowd control since there were over 100 wrestling fans there? Not to mention the cop that escorted me to my freaking car. I’ll be happy when this is over. I guess if I’ve learned anything from this, it is not to ever challenge anyone to sue me."

If he was walking around with a cop, his story might really have some Creedence.
