Whoa now let's don't get carried away. Stats from the Khsaa are a good thing to continue to get kids exposure. The stats reflect who are the better shooters in thier respective areas !!

I respect the respective gals that are leading in the stats yet, take some of these gals out of thier region and put them into a larger or media area and let's see what the stats of individual shooting percentages are...

again no offense to the leaders of the stats, it reflects what markmanship these gals possess.

Continued to success to all..

The Above stats are not from respective areas. They are from the entire state of kentucky. Which does include lousville and lexington. So these are the Best 3 point shooters in the State of kentucky as a whole. Now if one is talking about stats from other states only glancing at other statistics across the country the last 5 years our young sharpshooters have always shot as good or better from long range as anybody. We have had problems in the past with having a lot of bigs in interstate rivals but it seems as if today we have some excellent ones up and coming. I do not have on hand how we stand with indiana whom i think we play twice a year on our turf and their turf but i do recall we have taken a few behind the shed whippings. One can only hope with the talent we have as a whole we can remain competitive. thats what this is all about our wonderful kids from the bluegrass which seem like are getting more and more looks from bigger and better institutions. I know Kentucky is not considered a hotbed for high school basketball recruiting but if you will notice when schools from the bluegrass battles other states on holiday tournaments they do fairly well if you please. same as the tennesee-Kentucky football Border rivalry. although we are not their yet i really feel we are headed in the right direction.

No offence shopaholic, but stats are overrated sometimes for instance i you played for a small school and was the only shooter on the team your ppg would be high but against teams that play no defense...If you put defense on most players their percentages go way down..These girls listed can shoot and you should be proud of them, but KHSAA list players from every school no matter how many shots taken only games played, you could be 3 for 5 from three point land and someone else could be 30 for 55 much rather see the one shooting 54% than 65% in this situation....

Here you go die hard fans.
These are up to date and correct.
No one on here is doing 3 of 5 shooting . lets Give KHSAA a little credit.
And from from My experience a 3 point Shot from a tiny
gym in redbird is the same distance than a much larger
facility in lexington.
A lot of smaller schools have only one good shooter.
So hence she is Double teamed along with sometimes a shadow
or chaser. Larger schools have more so equal atheletes which man to
Man is good. or a dominant legitamate center gives way to a zone which
allows the guards easy open looks.
Take samantha Coleman for instance 2 years ago teamed with a a dominate center she had open looks and lanes not available to her now hence
on now being singled out a & face guarded shes converted to an average player.
The blue Chip camps and other special camps gives players opportunity
to compete against better competition where they dont have to worry about
double teams and they likewise have a field day against as such for
the past two years of my attending. So dont sell the smaller schools
players short. Bring on your superstars to these high profile
camps my friend take home perhaps a different perspective. Smile

What you saying has some truth to it, but girls at larger schools or on more well-rounded teams with better athletes are not going to have the green light to fire shots up at will. It is more team oriented with several players getting into the action. Some of these girls who average 12 to 15 points per game on good teams would probably average 30 points on a mediocre or weak team.

Very well said. Some girls have a green light to shoot whenever they want to. Some girls do not and they could be the better shooters if they shot as much as other girls. But their stats would not show they were the better shooters. I hope that makes sense.
