Charlie Strong made an imediate splash by landing QB DaMarcus Smith from Louisville Seneca. Smith is a 6'0 179 Dual Threat QB. He is already a 4* on Scout and had offers from Illinois, UK, and Purdue.
Not to be outdone, Joker Phillips has landed a pledge from Louisville Eastern ATH Jon Davis. Davis is 6'3 233 and projects as an elite level TE next year. He was the MVP of the National Ultimate TE Camp in Norman, Oklahoma. He already had offers from Illinois, Purdue, UL, and Stanford. It is also widely believe Oklahoma offered him as well. Jeff Drummond at The Cat's Pause says he is the best college prospect to come out of the state since Micah Johnson.
