My preseason choice would be South Laurel. SL has a good big man in St John and a couple good perimeter players returning. Reports are that SL also has at least two good transfers from out of state. My second choice would be Corbin. The Hounds have high scoring Madison Johnson and a ton of depth. I am also impressed with Coach P. My first choice would have been Clay Co if not for the injury of their point guard and in my opinion best player. I also like Knox Central as the dark horse.

My question of the day is how long will it take Jones to build a good program that can compete for a regional title at Harlan Co?

Harlan may be better than anyone thinks but it will still take at least a couple more years, if the underclassmen stay with the program.

I think Corbin repeats as region champs.

They return three starters from last year's team, including Madison Johnson.

Corbin will have a tougher time getting out of region this year though with Clay Co returning 4 starters and South Laurel returning St. John and several key role players from last year.
