It tells us which set of teams have won how many championships in each sport all-time, over the last 10 years, and last 5 years :bounce:

But in all seriousness, there have been people (especially when the coach's passed to try to attempt to split the 2 a few months ago) who were wondering about a breakdown of public vs private and now that the season was over I had same spare time to do it the right way and not limit it to only a certain range or certain sports but over every sport sanctioned by the KHSAA

There are a few like the volleyball stat but that is partially explained by the dominance of Assumption. I don't know enough about volleyball to know whether it's athletes, coaching, or such, but whatever they're doing there, and if it's legal, they should keep it up.

The other glaring stastic is that of all teams combined, privates make up 13.35% of the teams yet over the past 5 seasons have won 43.51% of the championships. Thats well more than triple of what it should be if all championships were scattered out evenly (yes, we all know that is not how it will ever be but just mathematically speaking). But either way it is a wide discrepency.

Also in the overall it is looking as though over time the private schools have become more and more dominant. All-time winning 29.94%, 37.89% over the last 10 seasons, and that 43.51% over the last 5.
