Knott County Central @ Leslie County 10/23

Predictions and thoughts?

Another tough one to make a prediction on.

This will be a really good game! I'm gonna pick Knott Central for the upset if it would even be considered an upset.

I like the Patriots as well. Ratliff should have a pretty good game for KCC.

Good luck to both teams!

I don't know what you guys have been watching this year.

Leslie County will win.

Well, after seeing KCC come close to beating Magoffin County and the first half performance they put up against Corbin, the Patriots are just the better team.

I think KCC pulls this one out in a close one.

How do you figure Knott is the better team?

Corbin beat Knott by 51 and Leslie by 36.
Middlesboro beat Knott by 40 and Leslie by 14.

Well, how about this?

1. St. Xavier beat Manual by 7 this past week.
2. Trinity beat Manual by 27 in a shutout.
3. St. Xavier beat Trinity by 25.

So, who beat who by whatever score doesn't really matter.

I thought you brought up the Corbin game as a reason for Knott being better.

Leslie will win at home.

I said the way Knott played against Corbin in the first half was part of my reasoning.

But getting outscored 105-0 in the second half doesn't count?

You really don't think Corbin could have ran the score on Leslie like that? Corbin came out fired up and ready to play (especially their defense) in the second half of that game in Hindman. The coaches left the starters in until the last three or four minutes from what I understand. Putting up 34 points in one half on a Corbin defense (even if they were asleep) is pretty impressive. You can't tell me you don't think Corbin couldn't put that same kind of shellacking on Leslie if they really wanted to.

You honestly think that Leslie is the clear cut winner? You said they "will" win. Leslie was only beaten by 14 by Middlesboro the game directly after all the Frankfort game drama went down. I could imagine the Yellow Jacket locker room was a little shook up. M'boro has it back rolling the best they can right now and played extremely well against KCC to get the kind of victory they did against them. Leslie played pretty well against Corbin if you ask me to keep the margin at 36 points.

Having said all of that, I'm standing by my pick. I could imagine you are standing on yours as well. I respect your opinion and all that, but disagree still of course.

This game could go either way. I expect it to be a toss up.
