I was wondering if anybody knew about Coach Ross. I know he left Raceland to coach Boyd Co., then he went to Johnson Central and suffered a stroke in his first season, I believe. I have heard two very different rumors about him. What is he doing now? How is his health?

I haven't talked to him in a few months, but last I heard he was doing seminars and selling his books. He has one on the 3-5-3 defense and another on special teams. He was working on a book on offense, but I dunno if he has finished or not.
I guess his health is as good as it can be with the effects that the stroke left him with.
I coached for him when he was @ JCHS and saw how it changed him. It was supposedly a mild stroke, but the effects were not mild. But, if you know Bill Tom... you know he didn't lay down and quit. We only won three games in two years, but I believe it could have been a lot different... if his health was good.

I know this is an old topic, but I just want to say that I highly respect Coach Ross. I knew him only for a while, but I'm glad I met him.
