#1
Just heard this one from a close friend and reliable source. Thanks for the info AshlandTCat06. Thought a lot of people might like to see an update on the Ironton Tigers.

Congrats to Bellaire. Sounds like a hell of a game.

Apparently Bellaire led 21-0 and 28-7 at times. Led 28-14 to start the 4th. And Ironton tied it up at 28-28 to take it to over time. No team scored until the 3rd overtime when Bellaire punched it in to take the winning lead. On 4th and 5, Darius Lewis was hold to just 4 yards and Bellaire won the game.

Bellaire controlled this game for the most part. Bellaire returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown 13 seconds into the game. Bellaire also scored twice in the second quarter, once off of a pass and once off of a one yard QB sneak to make the score 21-0. Darius Lewis returned the 2nd half opening kickoff to the Bellaire 34 yard line and set up an Ironton score to make the game 21-7. On the next drive, Bellaire completed a long pass and took advantage of a late hit penalty against the tigers to make the score 28-7. On the next drive Ironton score on a drive that took almost 7 minutes, and forced Bellaire to punt on their next possession to end the third quarter. Ironton fumbled the ball to begin the fourth quarter, but forced bellaire to punt after they got the ball back mainly due to an intentional grounding penalty. Ironton then scored off of a 46 yard reception by Darius Lewis. After that Bellaire was forced to punt yet again. Ironton drove down the field into bellaire terriory and was in a 4th and 2 situation. Darius Lewis ran the ball and came inches short of a first down. Bellaire got the ball again and was forced to punt, and this time Ironton returned the punt for a touchdown with 1:42 remaining in regulation. Bellaire punted again on their next drive, and Ironton ran the clock out when they got the ball back to send the game into OT.

**In Ohio overtimes are played the same as in Kentucky except the teams start from the 20 instead of going in from the 10**

Bellaire had the first possession of the ball in OT, completed a pass down to the Ironton 2 yard line to make it first and 2, but fumbled on the next play and Ironton recovered. Ironton then got the ball into a fourth and very long situation (out of FG range), and ended up turning the ball over on downs. Ironton took possession of the ball to begin the 2nd OT, and got the ball down to the 15. The tigers attempted a 32 yard field goal but missed. Bellaire threw the ball on every play when they had possession of the ball, and ended up getting into a fourth and 10 situation. They went for a 37 yard field goal and missed. In the 3rd OT, Bellaire completed a 12 yard pass to the Ironton 8, and then ran it in to make the score 34-28. They went for the extra point and missed. Ironton got the ball back and got down to the Bellaire 15 in a 4th and 5 situation. On 4th and 5, Darius Lewis ran the ball and came one yard short of the first down.

Congrats to both of these teams on such a hard fought game.
