I had several people ask me to bring back the virtual cash and betting scripts (to bet virtual earned cash on weekly football/basketball games). I am going to do so, and I am consider implementing the following scripts into BGR as well. Before I go integrating and installing the multiplayer game scripts, I wanted to see if people would use them. I just don't want to waste hours installing and configuring these if no one will is interested in using them. :biggrin:

I feel the opposite about voting on the high school games. I'm all for it. I see very little difference between vbookie and the weekly pick'em other than you will be risking imaginary points that cannot be claimed for anything tangible other than risking them again. It's just bragging rights in my mind.

It's not real money you are betting. In fact you gain points, not money. Really, it's nothing more than a ranking system, no real gambling taking place (The best at predicting games will have the most points, is all). You first earn points to risk by being active and contributing to the forums. You can risk those points by betting them on football games and multiplayer java games. No real monetary gain. You can then use those points in exchange for virtual forum enhancements such as changing display name color, name change, signatures, buy someone/yourself a virtual award/gift, etc

I want the ability to do side bets with points. That way when someone says "Betsy Layne will Beat Pikeville this year!" I can say, "I'll bet you all your points against mine that they don't!"
