Are you truly talking about the Great Centers of all time:
Dan Issel
Rick Robey
Sam Bowie
Or the Best Power Forwards
Patrick Patterson
Kenny Walker
Charles Hurt
Chuck Hayes
or best averall player not conisdered a guard but is a 4 position guy
Jamal Mashburn
Tayshaun Prince
Ron Mercer

Bowie is my favorite quote on quote "big man" of all-time, Issel and Robey were both phenomenal. Old footage is all I have to rely on for those games though. Patterson then Hayes at the power forward. Mashburn, Prince, and Mercer were all good mentions by Stardust. Jamaal Magloire would be on my list as well. Throw out Melvin Turpin too.

I never got to see him play but I don't see how you can go against Dan Issel...He averaged almost 34 points a game in his career I believe.

Dan Issel and Sam Bowie

Pound for pound noone comes close to Chuck Hayes. He did more as a 6'6 than some 7' players can ever dream of.

Still never answered the question, what do you consider Big Man? Are you saying Center, Forward, or Tall. Tayshaun is Tall, but not considered Big Man!

Stardust, have to disagree that Bowie and Turpin were original twin towers. That should go to Robey and Philips.

You are dead-on, but I beleive that it was during the Bowie/Turpin era that the "TERM" Twin Towers was coined by Cawood.

Stardust you are completely correct on the coining but Robey was 6'10 and Philips 6'11". Hall loved having big old rough boys in the paint

Dan Issel. Hard to go against leading scorer in UK history and also well over 20,000 points as a professional.

Bill Spivey did have an outstanding career at UK. Was one of the first 7 footers that could get up and down the court.
