Trinity's Schmitt (6-2, 225 pounds) is the rare athlete who has been recruited for his long-snapping abilities on field-goal attempts and punts. “It's a talent that's obviously very important, and he's very skilled at it,” Trinity coach Bob Beatty said.

Schmitt is a backup center for the Shamrocks.

Nice to see another Kentucky high school football player going to a major D1 school.
Kentucky high school football is underrated, IMO.
