Veteran QB Trent Green has decided to Retire after 15 seasons in the NFL.

I forgot this dude was even playing. This annoucement ranks up there with Sammy Sosa offically announcing his retirement even though he hasn't played in forever.

He was Marc Bulger's backup last year...
just never got an opportunity to step in
He had a great run in KC...and I thought he was gonna make noise with the dolphins but the concussion got him

Makes it hard to be a backup unless you are a backup superbowl champ like Lorenzen was.

Trent Green had a great career with one super bowl win and two pro-bowl selections. He would've been better if it wasn't for a season-ending knee during the same year his team (St. Louis Rams) won a super bowl and for a "very, very bad concussion" (as his doctor called it). In only a 5-year span, Trent Green had an astounding 20117 yards passing and 111 touchdowns.
