The Knott County Sportsplex will be hosting the EKBA 2009 Mountain Shootout Basketball Tournament on February 7 and 8. The Mountain Shootout Tournament at the Knott County Sportsplex is still accepting teams for their tournament this weekend, the divisions that are available are Boys 10u, 12u, 14u, and girls 9u, 10u, 12u.

If you have a teams that would like to play in the tournament in one of these division you will need to call today Thursday, February 5th to get your team entered in the tournament. The phone number to call is 606-497-6718 or 606-785-5932 ask for Greg Ratliff.

These are the number of teams that have entered the tournament:
10 Under Boys = 6 Teams So Far-Still Accepting
12 Under Boys = 3 Teams So Far-Still Accepting
14 Under Boys = 4 Teams So Far-Still Accepting
9 Under Girls = 4 Teams So Far-Still Accepting
10 Under Girls = 3 Teams So Far-Still Accepting
12 Under Girls = 5 Teams So Far-Still Accepting

Breathitt county was well represented at the sportsplex over the weekend.. Team Breathitt was made up of players from SMS and lostcreek was Marie Roberts-Caney's AAU team....I have a son that plays for SMS and one that plays for MRC....Very proud of all the boys...They did a good job....Greg Ratliff does an excellent job getting teams to come in...We appreciate so much what u are doing for this region......
