Unemployeement rate grows in Ohio.

The figures released Friday show 465,000 were unemployed in Ohio in December, an increase from 435,000 in November. The number of unemployed has increased by 118,000 from December 2007, when the rate was 5.8 percent.

Here in the county I live in-
In Licking County, the unemployment rate was 6.4 percent in November, when the state and county remained relatively unchanged from October. The number of local layoffs likely will push that number higher.

It's not done. I know on another BIG company getting ready to do a RIF by the 3rd week of FEB.

Our area is getting killed by this.
I have been searching two counties away in each direction for a job.
Not even the local fast food places are hiring right now.

It's not all bad I have a chunk in bank and with my low profile life style I will be ok.
Been laid off the last two jobs. That's the first two times I have ever been laid off in my life.The last two companies are talking cut back again. Friends I have at both places have told me this.
