What 1st round district match-up in the state are you most looking forward to?

For me, Tates Creek vs. Dunbar - 43rd District

I agree, that's a doozy of a first-round matchup.

What's really bad, though, is you would think that whoever wins this game would assure themselves of a spot in the regional, right? Nope. The winner of this game gets Lexington Catholic, and the winner of that game will get a spot in the regional as well as play for the district title.

And why is this happening? Because of the public school boycott of LexCath, the schools can't all play each other in the regular season. Thus, there can be no seeding for the district tourney. Sucks for Tates Creek and Dunbar (and to a lesser extent, LexCath).

Actually this is a play-in game to get to the first round to get to play Lex. Catholic.

My pick is in the 42nd with Bryan Station playing Henry Clay.

I think the East Carter/Elliott County game in the first round is going to be interesting. East Carter has won eight of their last nine with that loss being to Elliott.

The Raiders have the kind of size that can give Elliott County problems if they can get good gaurd play and handle the pressure defense of the Lions.

Man, would that be an upset!

I think guard play is critical, for the Elliott East game, If their point guard keeps his head East will stay close if not BLOW OUT.
