Virgie lost @ Pikeville by 7 and lost to Emmalena today by a score of 56-45. Virgie played hard both games but just came up short. Keep working Eagles.

This is the youngest team by far in Pike County. With the exception of one eighth grader playing minutes, this is their true 7th grade team playing and competing with everyone else's 8th grade team. They have more than held their own. Being that young, they will have their ups and downs 1`If they are on their game, I expect to see them in the finals of the County Tournament.
Keep your head up young eagles and keep working.

Its o.k. that the Eagles dropped a couple of games , I mean all teams and coaches want to win, however, I think the Eagles have done a great job this season and the coaches have the most difficult job ever!!! Its soooo easy to sit back find fault but its much different when you're the person with the responsibility of what to do, when to do it , and which is the right player for the task at hand, sometimes its a split moment decision!!! We all need to be supportative of our TEAM, our COACHES, our SCHOOL , but most of ALL, we need to THANK GOD DAILY that He has blessed us to have a very successful year and that WE ALL enjoy the rest of the season and ChEER our EAGLE TEAM on to a victory in the following games including the tournament!!!

Maybe young in experience...but i believe there are some holdbacks...

There are two holdbacks that are 12 and 13 years old. They are playing up and playing against 13-14 and 15 year old kids every night. So yes they are unexperienced on the 8th grade level.....and young. They do not have any kids that play older than 13.
