Don't want to mention any names just yet, but I don't think a couple guys are liking the iron man 5 that coach Hatcher has been going with the last few games.
I just don't understand why all these players start a season and then for whatever reason, turn in their stuff and decide to sit at home and do nothing! Whether it's for a disagreement with the coach, playing time, whatever it is, parents shouldn't allow their kids to BE QUITTERS. That is not teaching them anything, of course they will have bosses when and if they make it into the work force that they don't like, what are they going to do then. They need to work through their problems and hope things turn around. You never know when you are going to have an injury and your name be called upon to make a difference in a game. Just work hard and good things will happen.

i would say 9 times out of 10, the parents are the ones who are really mad over playing time. the parents should learn that their kids are not the only ones out there and respect the coaches decision. seems like pcc's coach knows what he is doing.

He has went from Breathitt to Jackson city to Pcc and if this is true then back to where it all started.

Are his parent's moving from Perry County to Breathitt County? Unless they are, then he won't be eligible to play at Breathitt. And the move has to be made prior to his enrolling at another school, not afterwards.

Not with Hatcher there. He don't play the politics game and the best players play.

He left Breathitt, sat out one year while attending Jackson City, then enrolls at Perry. After sitting out the required one year, a change of residence by his parents wasn't necessary for his eligibility at Perry. I don't know exactly how the KHSAA will rule on him at this point. His residence status is in Breathitt but his eligilibity status is at Perry. And there probably won't be a change of residence factor involved in the KHSAA's decision, since a change in that area is not being made, only schools.

Rumor has it, as of yesterday, Senior Jacob Watts has turned in his uniform, due to lack of playing time in the Wymt! He had recovered from an ACL last year and was doing well in previous games this year with some great play. Sure wish he would reconsider his decision, he is a great kid and a great athlete.
As of today, Salyers is still at Perry and is practicing well and is getting ready for the Hazard game on Friday, if they play.

That's a good decision on his part.

When I 1st seen your post yesterday, bout players quitting. The Watts kid came to my mind, I thought Jacob should have got more playing time. I Think he can run the team just as good as Amis. I think this will hurt the Commodores down the road, why? Because they wasnt a very depth team as it is, so now they are even shorter on the bench.

To be honest with you, hcoach Hatcher has a very young and talented bench that he should go to every game. Come region time, he will be wishing that he would have played more players because if a bunch of people start to quit then the starters won't have much of a breather. Some of the players that are sticking it out won't get to play until they are senior anyway. You can not win championship in high school with just 5 players. Especially in a region that is so close like the 14th. This will comeback and bite Perry.

The rule says you have to have a change in residence. You can't move into a district if you already live there, so the only place he couldn't play at is Breathitt.
