Does AAU Football have a place in KY
#1
It appears that many of the KY High School coaches are upset that June football has been taken away to allow for HS AAU Basketball players to compete in summer Basketball without Football requirements. The passing leagues hav been eliminated, thus HS teams do not have the formal "games" that they have had over the past few years.

Could HS coaches begin a push for AAU football: http://www.aaufootball.org/default.asp?a=pg_7on7.htm

Though the coaches cannot participate directly with the teams, they can see their players compete in real football during the period that has been taken away from them. There are many AAU tournaments in Kentucky that could allow for this. UK, U of L, WKU host several tournaments in June already, so could this be a fit?

Looks like a good way for those athletes not playing basketball to get a head start on their football season.
