Okay, I wrecked May 21st...today is June 16th and the Insurance Company still haven't gave the guy that's fixing my car the 'ok' to start working on it. This is what I don't get...last summer my step-dad totaled our Blazer and within 7 days we had the check and everything was settled...I just had a fenderbender and it's taking them almost a month! I'm about to die without my car...I can't go anywhere unless someone comes to pick me up, I have to bum rides to volleyball practice and I can't get a job because...well...I have NO car! Not to mention, whenveer I try to call the Insurance company to see what's taking them so long I constantly get their voicemail and they NEVER return my phone calls! Is it just me or would anyone else be this irritated if it was them?

Well my car broke down the other day.. i hate that car sooo much. it's nothing but a big problem but i can't handle not havin a car.

Good news...I called the insurance company today and they approved the guy to fix my car so it should be done easily by Monday but I won't be able to pick it up until I get the check from the insurance company which won't be here until the end of next week.

Id be surprised if you got it in a week. Dealing with insurance companies can sometimes be a headache..

Good luck though getting your car fixed and stuff.. THe best thing is you didnt get hurt in the wreck..

THankx QQ, I didn't get hurt that bad at all...pulled some muscles from the seat belt and jammed up my shoulder for a couple days...I had some burns on my left arm and hand from the air bag but it wasn't that big of a deal...I'm just glad that no one else got hurt.

I FINALLY got my car back! I'm SOOO happy!!! I got it back Friday and needless to say SAturday I took off in it...I'm so glad to have it back. I do however have to let the guy fix the cruise control and re-paint the hood b/c he forgot to fix the cruise and he screwed up the paint on the hood but at leats I got it back!

Dtfan, you said you had a fender bender BUT the air bags came out and you hurt your shoulder? HMM sounds like a little more of a wreck then a fender bender lol. But Im glad your ok, and im also glad you got your car back.
I had a wreck 2 years ago some woman pulled out in front of me and I hit her on her door like a T-BONE, but anyways I drove my truck around for 2 months without a fender on it before my insurance company would send me the check, cause the woman that pulled out in front of me didnt have insurance. I didnt get hurt tho.

The only reason the air bags came out was b/c the truck I hit had a hitch on the back and it hit right on one of my air bag sensors and when the air bags came out thats what hurt my shoulder.
