I hear that Alan Hatcher is wanting the job real bad. Has any one else heard that?

Not heard of him. I've heard they offered it to Wayne Breeden (spelling?) but he turned it down. I also heard Bath County's coach may have an interest.

I know that they must still be taking applications and looking very desperately because they still have this job listed in the Daily Independent newspaper as of today.

How about Chris Trusty AD and former assistant coach ay Morgan County? He would not have to relocate his family. It is only a 30 inute drive from West Liberty.

Hatcher coached at Graves County in western Kentucky before taking the Perry Central job last year. While Hatcher has been very successful, his style of play is about as exciting as watching paint dry. If 2-3 zones and slow down offences are your cup of tea, Hatcher is your man.
Breeden is an excellent coach. He did a great job at Ashland and took Owensboro to the Sweet 16 this year. Breeden probably should have been selected as Morehead States head coach when Macy got the job.
Jim Hicks at Bath County is another very good coach. He built a very nice program at Greenup under very strange and adverse conditions. What Hicks did his first year at Bath County was nothing short of amazing. In my opinion Hicks deserved some consideration for coach of the year.
