Surprised by the margin of victory.

Wow. The #1 team in the state goes down hard. Shocking that a #1 squad gets ripped apart but this is the defending state champions we're talking about here. Congratulations to Scott County.

Wow, Scott County goes into Bryan Station and whips the #1 team which had ran off 20 straight wins. Hard to believe these two top teams are disctrict rivals so we are guaranteed at least one more matchup and maybe two. Richie Phares had 27, he is a 6-8 junior. If it was not for Jon Hood, you could pencil this kid in as Mr. Basketball next year.
For all of you 15th region folk, think Todd May, 6-8 kid, can handle the ball, great post player, can knock down the 12-15 foot jumper consistently, has 3-point range, 70%+ free throw shooter. Have been watching this kid since the Mason Co game last year where he went 7/7 from the field with 10 boards against Miller.

Looks like the tough schedule is paying off for Scott County.

The Defenders were due some payback, earlier this season they handed Scott Co their first home loss in 4 years, yes, 4 years undefeated at home, 50+ games, I know it was no Clay Co streak, but was the longest current streak in the state.

WOW!

Just shows you how tough the 11th region is. Congrats Scott Co.

Watched Scott Co. play Paintsville in pre-season scrimmage. They are very athletic, but would have never thought they could do this to Bryan Station! Congrats Scott County!
Anyone know what happened to Bryan Station in this one?

I am very surprised by this score. The outcome not really but a 20 point loss at home is unbelievable. Few weeks back I watched Station play Tates Creek and it was a very close game until Creeks stud Sparks was injured and couldnt play half the 3rd and the entire 4th. Anything is possible in the 11. I personally can't wait to watch the region tourny. This may be the best thing that could have happend to station. Better to lose now then in a month. Goes to show you cant just show up in this area.

The scary thought is, imagine this team with Bud Mackey!

With Bud Mackey, they are probably repeat champions, if they can get out of the 11th region.

A bit surprised. Congrats Cards! Nice Win!

Congrats to Scott County on defeating Bryan Station. Yeah if Mackey was still there at Scott County this team would be unstoppable.
