The Little League World Series is in full swing and taking place right now. One of my all time favorite sporting events. Right up there with the Super Bowl and NCAA Basketball Tournament.
Brings back memories. My all star teams we twice made it to the state semi finals. We done okay until we run into the teams that looked like adults. I can remember my coach saying, someone needs to check they're birth certificates Lol and we proceeded to get crushed! If you ever watched that movie bench warmers, it reminded me of my allstar experience. Some of the things in the movie are probably not to far fetched

I played mostly 2nd and ss, also all over except for two positions, pitcher and catcher. I was terrible at both positions. My dad was sometimes the pitching and catching coach on my teams. Guess that tells ya how bad I was at pitching and catcher, dad was the coach and I never played either position Lol

I love watching the LLWS every year. My boys just finished up their little league careers this season, made it to the semi-finals of the State Tournament, lost to the eventual champion, Lexington east who was within a game of making it to the Regional Championship.
I've always said that little league is the last line of baseball where a kid can truly enjoy it and have the most fun.
