Rockcastle vs North Laurel Scrimmage 8/15
#1
Rock will travel few miles down south to scrimmage against NL. Not sure on the format but hopefully it’s a few quarters of Varsity and hopefully neither team has any issues

Will these guys ever play this in the regular season, I can imagine theres some heat between them.

I don't see as much heat as I see friendships, I might be wrong but I see a lot of history between the coaches
and several sets of the kids on both teams.

No heat here just friends. The head coach for NL was on Rocks coaching staff two years ago and loved it a lot. So there really isn’t any heat here tho.

Heat is probably the wrong word, definitely a rivalry between the players though. I mean when you could very easily go to church together and then play on friday its always fun.

You could say they would like to have bragging rights or enjoy the chance to win against each other that type of thing I could see. Now all the players that were there when Chris coached they should have all graduated at this point at least the freshman class up. I’m sure there may be siblings etc still around but could be a fun game to see

Oh there will be some competition there no doubt about it, and a good game I would suspect.  Yeah, still siblings there that know the Larkey clan well, tight with the Larkey kids from what I know about the team.  One of the coaches at NL played football with Coach Larkey & several played for him.   It's just a different atmosphere between those two schools.   I know people at NL that are pulling for Rock when they aren't playing each other 'big time' - and they are not silent about it either - we have sat by some at ballgames!
