Just seen yesterday that President Trump was bringing this back. What do you all think? Is this a good idea? I believe it is.
I was watching President Trump answer questions from the press yesterday. I normally pay attention to what's being talked about, but yesterday I couldn't. I kept zeroing in on one guy standing beside Trump. I kept saying to myself, man that looks like Triple H. And it was Triple H! Turns out he's on the President Fitness Council or something to do with it.
I believe this is a good idea and couldn't come at a better time. Many kids and people in general spend majority of their time on technology devices, phones, tablets, computers and stuff like that. Many don't get the necessary exercise required, especially young people.
When I was a kid I stayed outside and active. Playing sports and exercising and stuff, even riding my bike for miles just to go fishing in the creek and catch little creek chubs lol sometimes I'd walk to do this. Shoot, somedays I'd jog 8-10 miles. When we were out of school or on Summer break, I'd work with my dad. He'd give me a hammer and a bag full of nails and say have at it lol There was no sitting around for me.
That stuff helped me stay active and in shape. Today to much screen time equals not enough exercise.
The only regret I have is that we didn't have this program when I was in school. At least I don't remember it. In gym class I don't remember being tested on push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, or a 1 mile run, or anything like that. We never had to climb a rope either.
Mostly our gym teacher would toss us a basketball, football, or kickball and we'd split into teams. We did run and have races occasionally. We also played ping pong lol
Our poor gym teacher, Some of us were very competitive and didn't like to lose. We'd often argue and even fight over losing what was supposed to be a fun innocent game, in gym class lol
The Presidential Fitness Program will be a good thing I believe. Help today's youth get in and stay in shape. Plus how cool would it be to receive a award from the President when you complete the program and pass your test!
