I hear they are having a hard time finding anyone. They haven't been good other than a random season occasionally since Bruner in the early 90s.

Whoever gets it will have their hands full. They should find someone that wants to coach and build the program back

Build it back???  When was Mboro any good?

Was M-boro ever any good? Somebody needs to learn about Jeff Kyle, Elgie Green, and the boys from the 70's and 80's. Consistently the biggest threat to Clay County over that span. Middlesboro was probably the most successful all-sports school in the 13th for a long time until the past 20 or so years. French is doing a good job with football or it would be a total disaster over there with seeing what a sad shell of what their proud baseball program has become.

Middlesboro won the region in 82 and 83. Bell won in 77 and 80. Cawood was second four times (76, 81, 83 and 86). Bell was second several times also. Those three were the most consistent threat for Clay until Billy Hicks got to Corbin.
Then Harlan took over for a while in the 90s.
