The Tomcats are playing well at the right time. The crazy thing about this game is that Elliot County is a good team. They are young and have a great future but the truth is, they are good right now. They have some quality wins and a few good losses. That being said there was an obvious gulf between these two teams. It was just awkward to watch at times. I found myself hoping for their shots to fall. The young Elliot County players kept fighting and coach Bonner showed some restraint so I felt better after the midpoint of the third quarter. The fourth quarter showed a glimpse into the future with the young Lions trading blows with the Tomcats who were clearing the bench with their young players. I got to talk to a few Elliot county parents and fans and I was impressed. Some high quality and very nice people with a lot of basketball knowledge and just a great community feel. Fun times for both teams on down the road and hopefully a great finish for the Tomcats this year.

I just going to say those 2 runs of 3-peats was very special.  I82much don’t judge a book by its cover. What wins by Elliot are you considering quality wins?

Not being nit picky, but that is a fair question, considering quality wins.

I'm not sure I understand the "don't judge a book by it's cover" thing?? But that's okay. If you're referring to the friendly fans I spoke with I don't need or want any details about anyone's past experiences. Quality wins is subjective and relative to program. For Elliot County I would consider wins against Raceland, Russell, and Lewis County quality wins since they all have have winning records and are in the upper half of RPI in the 16th Region. I would consider losing to Boyd County by 15 to be a quality loss for their young team. That's it. Would wins against those teams be consider quality wins for Ashland? No. Just like Ashland's quality wins wouldn't be considered quality wins for Saint X. It's all relative...

If you been somewhat part of the 2 3-peats you would understand what I’m talking about. Been there done that.
