Johnson Central 86 Lawrence County 77

Golden Eagles bounce back after two tough losses in a row to beat the Bulldogs on the road.

Central desperately needed a win after dropping their last 2, good win for them.

Lawrence Co has a 13-6 record but it seems to really be deceiving. They've beaten all the teams they're supposed to, but have lost to the top contending teams in the region. I still think they win the 58th, but after that I don't think they're destined for a deep tournament run.

You might be right but they are still dangerous. I think they are just way undersized compared to the top teams in the region and that hurts them. But with the way they are capable of shooting the ball you never know when they are going to get hot from deep. But against those bigger teams I don't think their press is as disruptive because they can throw over most of them. But I still wouldn't count them out, they play extremely hard for 4 quarters so if you relax for a second they go on a run in a hurry.

I completely agree with what you're saying. They are a dangerous team and definitely play extremely hard, and well coached. All of the top contending teams in the Region have great size, and it's tougher for Lawrence to compete with that. They've got great guard play and can shoot the ball, if they're hitting and playing defense like they normally do, they can end a teams season come tournament time.
