Fc shut Pente down. James samons had a great first quarter! Fc was up 10 with 2 minutes left. 8th grader Eli mitchell got a put back and1 to get the 3 point lead.

After watching this one, gotta say the last few games have not been the best for the Bobcats. Something has changed. Spriggs plays for the jags, they don’t lose.

Cameron did not get shut down. WMDJ said he had 21.

The biggest thing is, it was the bobcat. Fc gave it there all because of that. Kinda like the McDowell and wheelwright rivalry

First off, hope the young lady is alright that took a spell during the girls game on the sideline. Didn’t see what was going on but the staff from Floyd central and even a couple Betsy Layne coaches were there quickly to respond to what happened and got the bench for the girls team of Floyd central to huddle around her so no one could see what’s going on. That was a good move by Brooke Moore. In a time of tragedy like that there was so many folks that came together to make sure the student was taken care of and accessed. You had folks running blankets, pillows and other things to help aide what was going on. So top notch stuff and the icing on the cake is they got all four teams and cheerleaders out on the court to pray in a big circle and Brother Barry Clark from Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist led a great prayer.

Floyd Central pretty much controlled the game for the most part besides our a quick start to the second half. Something about Floyd Central just never makes sense having watched them the past 2-3 years with this talent they have. Betsy Layne never gave up and even though they shot ice cold in the second half they made a big one at the end of the 4th and got a huge and 1 off a rebound by 8th grader Eli Jarrell. Betsy Layne just gutted this one out.

It was a great atmosphere and I feel like Floyd central is always a loud environment which makes for good rivalry basketball games on a Friday night for the community.

I think a better chance to meet up in first round of district tourney.  

Lawrence at 4-0 in district with two home games left has to be favorite for top seed.   

if everything holds way season has played out this will be an opening matchup in the 2-3 game.

Caught the last 4 minutes of this one on WMDJ live stream, FC had an 8 point lead with less than 3 minutes left, 60-52 and BL goes on a 13-2 run to win the game. I didn't get to watch the whole game, but the last few minutes I did watch, FC played like they were down 8 instead of ahead. At that point in the game, you don't want to freeze the ball, you want to keep attacking and try to find the best shot possible if it's there, but they were run & gun up and down the court, had a few costly turnovers and BL capitalized on them. Heck of a comeback win for BL, and for FC this is about as tough a loss as you can have at this moment.
