No one has proved that there will be a day of reckoning. NO ONE. That's a fairy tale, as Dr. Sagan pointed out.
As far as the Mango Mussolini on Day 1. I would like for his first official act on Day 1 to be an official public apology to E. Jean Carroll for raping her. I would also like for him to take all the money he has grifted from his cult members, some of them right here on BGR, and use that money to pay the many millions of dollars in compensation to Ms Carroll (who a court of law found Trump civilly liable for raping) and all the other women he has sexually violated. He is a sexual predator and should start making amends on Day 1. We are still a nation of laws(at least for a few more months) whether you all like it, or not.
As Michael Steele and Rick Wilson pointed out after the election, 70 million people felt that electing a black woman president was just a bridge too far, yet they overlook the vile actions of a wannabe autocrat who rapes women and incited a violent insurrection of the Capitol. Right on, fellas!!!
It absolutely was a factor. Would she have won if she was a white man with the same politics? Maybe, but America is not ready for a black woman. Hell, some Baptist churches (SBC, for one) is not even in favor of having women in positions of leadership in the church(i.e., pastors). If they don't want a woman pastor they sure as hell don't want a woman president. No matter how much those on the right want to deny it, sexism still exists, misogyny still exists, racism and bigotry is still a huge thing. All of those things cost her A LOT of votes that a white man wouldn't have lost. Read some books about Trump. Hear it from people who have been in his inner circle for four decades. He has preyed on women his entire adult life. A court of law determined he raped EJC. All of America heard how he joked about grabbing women by the p####. It's not a question whether or not he's a predator. He certainly is. But half of America couldn't care less about the molestation of women by the crazed orange man they idolize--- a man, by the way, who absolutely despises the very people who love him. From sources close to Trump he makes fun of those who support him with their cult-like enthusiasm.
As far as the nutty abortion woman , she committed a federal crime. And those kind of crimes come with sentencing guidelines. I hate that her obsession with abortion ruined what should have been the golden years of her life but she did it to herself. She was in violation of the FACE Act and that comes with prison time. She should have stayed at home and not engaged in a federal conspiracy. I have a heart for people who need help(like the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, and animals). I have helped a lot of people and animals. If you are going to be a political activist, it's best not to commit federal crimes in making your point, like Ms Harlow did. I'll bet she's engaged in her last blockade. Lesson learned, hopefully.

I'm happy Dems are so stupid. Trump made huge gains with Latinos, blacks, women and almost every other demographic. Voters are rejecting identity politics and legacy media propaganda. If Dems continue to double down on stupid, they will continue to bleed support and Republicans might just be in for a long and prosperous run.

College-educated and college-aged voters overwhelmingly favored Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, exit polls show.
The divide in the political preferences of college-educated voters and those without a college degree has grown in the last decade, concerning higher education leaders who have said the gap reflects political polarization. They say the divide could fuel perceptions that colleges are out of touch with average Americans and shows a need to ensure that higher education is accessible to people from all backgrounds.
While college-educated voters were more likely to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris than Donald Trump across all demographics, that gap is greatest among white voters and men.

It's not something that I am looking forward to, but I expect that Trump will require federal employees to work in the office five days a week. Hopefully, he will phase in that requirement.
This is one of Elon Musk's to recommendations to reduce the size of the bureaucracy. He estimates that 25 percent will leave voluntarily rather than return to full-time office work. I suspect that is a pretty good estimate.

Nothing right wing talking heads say is ever the truth. They are born liars and cheaters. Don't trust anyone who wants to make it hard for a significant portion of the population to vote. The only way a damn Republican could ever get elected is through cheating(gerrymandering b@$t@rd$) or keepng non-conservatives from voting.

I learned a long time ago not to assume that the media tells the truth or that people making plea bargains with the federal government are guilty of anything. Sometimes they are but often they are not.
I saw a lot of people walk through the open doors of the Capitol building and then just mill around inside. No matter what those people may have pled guilty to, they were trespassers at worst. I doubt that many protesters could afford to defend themselves at a trial, so I assume that they took whatever plea deal they were offered.
The federal government is the wrong place to expect justice, unless you are in a protected class when a Democrat occupies the Whitehouse. Whenever possible, crimes should be matters for state and local government because the federal government can and does abuse its power on a routine basis.
I have no problem keeping anybody in jail who assaulted a police officer or destroyed property, along with the clown who took Pelosi's laptop, but the punishment needs to fit the crime and the crime was not waging an insurrection against the federal government.

The question is whether the pardons of the J6 committee members unconstitutionally impedes Congress from performing its oversight responsibility.
If a president can direct his administration to commit widespread crimes and then issue thousands of pardons for his administration for crimes that have not even been investigated, then we need a Constitutional amendment to eliminate this potential abuse of presidential power.
The potential existence of thousands of secret pocket pardons is also a possibility.

Kamala Harris
Everybody else who has no "need to know." And writing a book does not constitute a need to know.
When Trump leaves office, then he should also surrender his clearance. Way too many people retain security clearances after they leave office.
Tell the truth more than occasionally would top my list. His lie today about "the California wildfires being allowed to spread without a token of defense" is an example of his constant lying. I'm sure the thousands of firefighters risking their lives really appreciate it...

One of the first things I want him to do is to resend the top secret security clearance for:
Joe Biden
Hunter Biden
James Biden
Every one of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the letter claiming Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation.
Hillary Clinton
Huma Abedin
Kamala Harris

Plus I like to fish when I'm at the beach. Casting over a wall into the water would be tough enough. Then if I hook into a large fish, be pretty much impossible to reel over a wall! Which knowing me, I'd try climbing the wall and jump over the other side into the ocean. In attempt to land the fish
