Tennesse drops from #1 after their 30 point drubbing for Florida, so who takes over the top spot? Just another SEC team, and who I think may be the best team in the conference, and the country in Auburn. Be interesting to see how they navigate coming up with Broome going down with an ankle, don't know his status moving forward, but if he is out for an extended period that will be a big time loss for Auburn, considering he is an All-American and POY candidate.
No Surprises: Auburn being #1, that's really about it.
Surprises: Quite a few honestly. Kentucky was ranked 6th after their loss to Georgia, but after beating Miss St. on the road who was ranked 13th at the time I think, I figured that win would be enough to maybe drop them 1-2 spots, even tho they still hold steady in the top 10, falling to 10 was a surprise to me, but maybe that Georgia loss was convincing enough to drop 4 spots, even tho the rankings don't mean diddly squat at the end of the day.
Georgia ranked 23rd? I knew they would finally get in, but after convincing home wins against Kentucky, and Oklahoma who was also ranked but struggling since conference play started, I figured that would be well enough to catapult them into at least the top 15, but coming in 23rd was a huge surprise, Mike White has them playing great right now, despite shooting a combined 75 free throws the last 2 games, 48 more than their opponents combined(UK & OU). They'll still be a tough out in conference play.
Our ol pal Rick Pitino & St. Johns are back in at 24, and how about Utah St coming in at 25?

Out of the teams above us on this list, what's crazy is, by the time the seasons over, we'll have played over half of the teams listed above us there.

Outside of Auburn at #1, there's a good case for lots of teams at any of the remaining spots. Lots of parity so far this season. Wouldn't be shocked if Auburn drops one of their next two (to Mississippi State and Georgia) while they adjust to the immediate future of life without Broome.
